This video screening was actually very amusing this time around. I got a kick out of the vacuuming video. It was so funny because there is no point into doin that. It was something that brought laughter cause there are shows that promote stupidty. It seemed like somethin they would do ont he show jackass and thats why i enjoyed it. There was no purpose, but like a lot of other things, stuff does not make sense.

The next video was weird. There wwre males and females just tanding on a building feeling the wind blow. It looked like a foreign land. Then they bring music in o add to the atmosphere. It was interesting, but i wouldnt be standing on some building with heavy winds blowing me around. That the thing to film, people do crazy stuff. Then it switched to somebody ringing a bell in front of tv with people looking like they were moving to the beat of the music. It actually looked kind of funny.

Then next a collage of white lines moving to the beat making designs. This was interesting to me because its something you would see in a video game.

Then the people digging bored me. It just seemed like another documentary. That was boring to me and once again it seemed like something from a national geographic episode. Just no purpose to me. And then the cartoon video was very amusing for a while. I think that was something i prefer because it was animated and computer animation is my major. I think the point of this class is to show people video that they are not usually exposed too. Its an art that takes time to understand. And one has to be willing to watch it to get something out of it. I enjoyed most of the class period, but got bored and tired during some parts.

todays discussion was very interesting to me. It helped me look at the film differently than i did before. Listening to everybody different point of views on how they fely about the film made me think. Its always good to hear other peoples thoughts on a subject. The little film we were watching for a little bit was just the same as the one in lecture, but a different setting. Looking at films like these make you think and i think thats the purpose of them. You start to think because people don't usually watch something like that. Then you really start to see it differently because it is a new experince to you. The class is becoming more and more interesting.

This film i came across has similarities to the film in class. little dialogue and views of scenery. Very weird in my eyes like all the other ones. But i feel the class is goin to get more interesting as the semester progresses.

The film today was very akward to me. There was barely no dialogue , which is understandable considering what type of film it was. It was very slow and repetitve. They would first show a group of people. Then an open area. It would change from day to night. It was interesting, but at the same time, didnt make sense. Whats the purpose of this. It seemes like a documentary of everyday life. It was not my type of film, but i guess some people enjoy watching something like this. It was basically the same thing the whole way through. It would start with one thing and go back to that thing after a couple of scenes. At least the things we watched earlier in the class proved more worthy than this even though they were weird too. The other ones we watched were interesting, but this was plain boring to me. To me, it served no purpose, but i know other people probably dont share my opinion.

Videos

The videos on monday were all very familiar to me. I say this because they were kind of crazy looking. They seemed like clips you would see from a horror movie. I played a lot of games and the noises and constant switching back and forth between pictures is sidistic. A lot of people probably would look at the videos and think what the hell is this, but i seen as somethin familiar in my eyes. But at the same time, they make no sense. I would want to understand what the is the point of a lot of these videos. I know their experimental, but still, they are weird.
